Less than casuarina food court quality. Underwhelming and disappointing. Entree: beef with betel leaves, ok. Main: lemongrass chicken, unexpectedly came out in a curry soup broth, chicken chewy and flavorless. Special fried rice with tiny cubed carrot and shriveled peas…frozen. Tiny little shrimp. Ate because we were hungry but definitely not restaurant quality. When asked by the waitress how we enjoyed the meal, she showed no reaction to our feedback and said absolutely nothing. Just cleared out plates and walked away. Didn’t ask us if we wanted more drinks. Will not return and cannot recommend. Give it a miss. Disappointing for New Year’s Eve.

Amazing laksa. It won Darwin’s best last year (chicken and prawn) and can definitely taste why. Is there nothing that says “Darwin Life” than getting a laksa (from Chow), a mango smoothie from next door and finishing it off on the grass under a palm or frangipani tree before having a swim??

Decided on Chow for my birthday dinner and can say I will definitely be back. Lovely service, nice atmosphere and the food was incredible. I had the pork belly pancakes and pad Thai. The serving size was very generous and full of prawns and chicken, so yummy!

Have been going here for over six years. The food is always good to high-quality. The service over the last few months has fallen down. The atmosphere amongst the team seems very different. Now that Grace has gone. The new Irish guy. The venue manager doesn’t seem very friendly doesn’t really address regular patrons. Or even acknowledge the fact that he sees them regularly: he spends more time sitting behind his computer and telling his stuff off, then he does actually interacting with the staff and guests. Unlike Grace who did or as did Will; he never really seems to be here any more where’s he gone? Take away for me in the future.

On our recent stay in Darwin we dined at Chow's, delicious food with fresh ingredients and helpful staff. Loved it so much we went back for a few more meals during our stay.

THE BEST EVER Vietnamese pancake I have ever had! Crepe is perfectly crisp and a flavour bomb in your mouth with all combined ingredients! Fast service, staff are lovely. Inside or outside dining and great location!

Pho is a decent size and good flavour. Be sure to finish the salty soup off with the deep fried green tea ice cream. A great combination. The entree oysters were ok but not a stand out dish like the other 2
